Sandbranch Water Drive
Sand Branch is a community located in Seagoville Texas (approximately 30 minutes from downtown Dallas). About 400 families settled into the community in the 1950's. Sand Branch developed contaminants in their water supply over the last 2 decades and now the families that reside in this community are often without potable tap water. This causes a great inconvenience of having to purchase water for the purpose of drinking and cooking to avoid risking their health.
Church of the Solid Rock enjoyed organizing quarterly water drives. The City of Dallas briefly stepped in to offer these families some temporary assistance but the company that supplied the water is no longer delivering water to Sand Branch.
